The Hopkins Fogarty AITRP provides both degree and short and long-term nondegree training to trainees from its 9 program countries: Brazil, China, Ethiopia, India, Malawi, South Africa, Thailand, Uganda and Vietnam. Trainees come from international research collaborations between JHU faculty and their in-country collaborators. The program has endeavored to provide training relevant to the growing global HIV/AIDS research agenda.
