Why do people indulge in death-causing behaviors like smoking
and overeating? Are there interventions that can help us develop
more healthful habits? This symposium will survey the unhealthy
behaviors that have most significantly impacted health in the
20th century, and will identify lessons learned from a variety
of approaches used to promote life-sustaining behaviors.
